Saucy Mama Hatch Chili Mustard
Although it can be tough to admit that summer is coming to an end, we do have the comfort of knowing football season is approaching, and that's something to look forward to here at Barhyte. Also... let's not forget the tailgating. It's the the perfect excuse for making warm, hearty and comfort-food type dishes that are easily shareable with friends and family...your "game day" crew, if you will!
This incredible bean dish, brought to us by Kim at The Prize of Cooking (and also part of our World Food Championships' Team Saucy Mama), is exactly the type of recipe you'll want to keep handy this fall and winter. Kim uses a unique selection of Saucy Mama and Taste Domination products to spice up the beans, and it's perfect to enjoy as is with cheddar cheese and tortilla chips or as a hot dog topper!

Saucy Mama Game Day Domination Bean Dish
1 tablespoon oil
½ large green bell pepper, chopped small
1 small onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons Saucy Mama Hatch Chili Mustard
2 tablespoons Saucy Mama Zesty Cocktail Sauce
5 tablespoons Taste Domination BBQ Wing Sauce
1-28 ounce can Bush’s Country Style Baked Beans, do not drain
1-15 ounce can light red kidney beans, drained
1-15 ounce can great northern beans, drained
¼ cup, plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
In a Dutch oven pot over medium high heat, sauté the onion and green bell pepper in the oil for several minutes or until translucent and tender.
Add the ground meat, season with salt and pepper, then cook until brown.
Add in the remaining ingredients and simmer 10-12 minutes to allow the flavors to blend together and the sauce to thicken.
